About SiteLines Education

SiteLines Education is a non-profit research and development organization that creates educational materials, programs, and events about neighborhood planning and design.

The origin of SiteLines Education is an award-winning curriculum developed by Mary deLaittre, SiteLines Education Founder & Director, that encourages children to "see" the neighborhoods in which they live: the streets, sidewalks, buildings and parks; the materials that are used to create these features; how it functions as community space, and; how people interact with their neighborhood and each other.

More recently, SiteLines Education introduced SiteSeeing CD (community development), an innovative approach to community planning that is based on the SiteSeeing curriculum.

Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, SiteLines is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)3 organization.
